Rob's T80 Charge Controller Project
This project is to gather the data from an Apollo T80 Charge controller. This was an upgrade from my old Xantrex C40 conroller. The T80 is an MPPT controller which promises gains of up to 30% over a standard controller. This unit also came with an rs232 output so I was able to gather the output data from it, and make pretty graphs and such. Recently Apollo has upgraded the firmware for this unit. Major gains were made, but there were some losses. Rs232 is gone, replaced by RS485 (for situations that require more than one T80). The data stream also completely changed, and I'm in the process of starting over the data gathering reverse-engineering of the stream. RobPattonDotCom T80Watcher V2.0 is currently in alpha.

Currently, there are 12 (12 more are here on the ground that need to be making power) Kyocera KC130 Solar panels, attached to the Apollo T80. This in turn charges batteries, as well as feeds a Xantrx SW5548 in grid tie mode (sells power back to the grid).
